CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – A Champaign County judge has ruled in favor of the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District, upholding the suspension of Sooie Bros. Bar-B-Que Joint’s food-service license. The ruling mandates that co-owner Alven Allison must either comply with the existing food-service plan or submit an approved amended plan before reopening.

The health district had ordered the restaurant to close in February due to non-compliance with refrigeration requirements. Allison has since submitted a new service plan and filed a separate lawsuit against the health district.
