CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Following their 38-31 victory over Rutgers, the Illinois Fighting Illini are setting their sights on Northwestern, aiming to reclaim the coveted Land of Lincoln Trophy. With back-to-back wins over Michigan State and Rutgers, Illinois has found momentum late in the season.

Quarterback Luke Altmyer’s game-winning touchdown pass to Pat Bryant stole the spotlight. Sophomore linebacker James Kreutz stepped up in Dylan Rosiek’s absence, recording a career-high 12 tackles.

Illinois heads into the Northwestern matchup at Wrigley Field with renewed confidence and a chance to finish the regular season strong.
