What is Honor Fund?
Honor Fund is a fund we created to do fundraising for Veterans and first responders. The rate of Veterans with mental health issues is astounding. In addition, many Veterans are struggling financially, barely living paycheck-to-paycheck. They have given so much for us, it’s time we, as a community, gave back.
Who can Honor Fund help?
We can donate money from our fund to 501c3 and tax exempt organizations. We cannot give money directly to indivduals, but we can give money to organizations that help individuals. As an example, we can donate money to the Georgetown American Legion who has a mission to connect Veterans with service animals.
Our funds will stay local, helping in East Central Illinois.
Are donations tax deductible?
Yes. Donations go to our account at Community Foundation of East Central Illinois. They are a 501(c)(3) organization.
