James has been a part of the Southmont FFA Chapter for the past six years. For three of those years he served as the Chapter Reporter, Vice President, and President. He has also served as the District IV treasurer as well as currently serving as the District IV President. He also has a state winning Ag Ed proficiency.

Being the President of both his Chapter and District you can most times find him i n theSouthmont Ag Department. He has attended several leadership camps, chapter meetings, chapter events, district meetings, as well as district events. James has worked his hardest to ensure the success of his Chapter and District.

James has grown so much these past several years i n FFA. He has grown his public speaking skills, as well as his leadership skills. Many people say he i s very mature for his age due to the fact he is able to overcome any type of obstacle that comes his way. He has gone above and beyond planning fundraisers and helping with events for his Chapter and District.

James is the son of Greg and Laura Nichols and lives in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
